The Facility

Barr Plastic Surgery Centre is located at 205 Douglas Street at the corner of Cross Street and Douglas Street below the new SKIN MediSpa. Entrances to Barr Plastic Surgery are out of sight of passing traffic and ample parking is available. With an entrance and foyer that conceals the actual size of the facility, the centre itself spans 3600 square feet and incorporates a full three bed recovery area, fully equipped major and minor operating rooms, laser and treatment rooms, spacious consultation areas, a private area to discuss financing options, an elegant front waiting area and a private waiting and secure rear entrance/exit for additional privacy when needed.

The Barr Plastic Surgery Centre has been awarded accreditation by the CAAASF (The Canadian Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities) for meeting the standards of a hospital in regards to monitoring, emergency and resuscitation equipment. This accreditation also ensures that stringent standards are met in all operational aspects of the surgical facility, including qualification and certification of all medical staff. Barr Plastic Surgery Centre is the only fully accredited surgical centre in Northern Ontario.

All nurses at the Centre are registered with the Ontario Nurses Association. All anesthetists are board certified with privileges at major hospitals. The top priority of each staff member at Barr Plastic Surgery Centre is to ensure the highest quality of care and comfort for each patient during their visit.
